You Should RECONCILE QUICKLY After an Inventory Count

Screens within the Inventory Tools section will display your counts for review once an inventory count is completed and the scanner is uploaded or “data synced”. It is important to review your counts for any discrepancies and make needed corrections immediately. Likewise the inventory counts should be reconciled quickly once any corrections are made.

Waiting too long to correct discrepancies and reconcile can create a scenario where the inventory count is no longer valid because receipt, issue, or return transactions have been introduced after the location was counted. The best way to avoid this situation and possible confusion is to observe two rules:
1. "Close down" a location while inventory counting takes place.
2. Correct inventory discrepancies and reconcile a location’s inventory count quickly after the location count is data synced to your desktop.

Remember, you can always go back to a location to check your counts and make additional edits even after the location has been reconciled.
