today that the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel is up and running on
Clear Sky Software’s beverage inventory control system. The Sheraton selected Clear
Sky Software to help control all beer, liquor and wine inventory. Called Clear
Sky BEVERAGE, this system is a comprehensive, perpetual inventory system
that tracks and controls all beverage products. Functions include purchasing,
receiving, outlet transfers/issues/returns and physical inventory. Also
installed is Clear Sky’s Interface to Marriott’s HotShop Procurement System
and Micros Simphony POS System. The HotShop interface streamlines the beverage
product receiving process and eliminates many data entry tasks while providing
automatic cost updating in the Clear Sky system. The interface to Micros
Simphony allows users to import revenue dollars for producing true beverage
cost reports by location, category or product. Additional features allow
management to report product fast-movers, slow- movers, cost variances, and
order/vendor discrepancies. An expanded event management module is also part
of the core system installed at the Sheraton. This bar code-based software,
hardware, and services combination is helping The Sheraton Phoenix Downtown manage
their entire beverage inventory with more efficiency and maintain lower
beverage costs.
